“THE MARTIAN MECHANIC”

A completely unique homage to impending disclosure, the “BLUE COLLAR BIOLOGICAL MACHINES” series depicts entities that may be echoes of our future selves - or drones built from biological material - cast in the role of working-class heroes. This design imagines them as grease-stained mechanics: coveralls zipped, wrenches raised, surrounded by scattered nuts, bolts, and gears.

The sandy work-rag backdrop is punctuated with red oil cans that nod to Mobil branding - a detail that grounds the surreal in the smell of real shops and long shifts. Bold, gritty, and unforgettable, it’s the alien laborer rendered as every mechanic you’ve ever known.
